These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Talk2Diary, an iOS and Android app developed by Appspace Innovations Pvt Ltd. By downloading or using Talk2Diary, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Questions? Email us at support@appspace.co.in.

1. Who Can Use Talk2Diary

You must be at least 18 years old to use Talk2Diary. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You can create a Talk2Diary account in one of three ways: by registering with your phone number and verifying via OTP, by signing in with your Google account, or by signing in with your Apple ID. After registration, you set a personal PIN that protects your encrypted data.

You are responsible for keeping your PIN safe. Do not share it with anyone. Your PIN is stored only on your device and cannot be recovered by us if lost.

You can also enable biometric unlock (Face ID or fingerprint) as a convenient alternative to entering your PIN each time.

During setup, you are given an 8-character recovery code. This code lets you restore access to your account on a new device if you lose your phone. Store it in a safe place. We cannot recover your data if you lose both your PIN and your recovery code.

3. What Talk2Diary Does

Talk2Diary lets you:

• Record voice journal entries (up to 2 minutes each)
• Transcribe your recordings in 11 Indian languages
• Track your mood over time using AI analysis
• Attach photos to entries
• Back up your encrypted data to Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS)
• View mood trends and insights

Your journal transcripts, photos, and stored audio are encrypted on your device before being uploaded. We cannot read your entries. Note that during transcription your audio briefly passes through our servers in unencrypted form so that Sarvam AI can convert it to text — see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Trial and Subscription

New accounts receive a free trial with full access to all features — no payment required to start. The trial lasts 48 hours or up to 15 journal entries, whichever comes first.

After the trial ends, a subscription is required to continue adding new entries. Your existing entries remain accessible and are not deleted.

Subscription plans:

• Monthly: ₹249/month (introductory offer: ₹199 for the first month)
• Yearly: ₹2,399/year (introductory offer: ₹1,999 for the first year)

Introductory pricing is available to new subscribers only and applies to the first billing period.

On Android, subscriptions are processed and managed by Google Play. On iOS, subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple App Store at the same price points. Your payment details are handled entirely by the respective store — we never see your card or banking information. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. On Android, cancel through Google Play → Subscriptions. On iOS, cancel through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation.

Refunds are handled by the respective store under their standard refund policy — Google Play for Android, Apple App Store for iOS. We do not process refunds directly. If you have a billing issue, contact the store's support.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Talk2Diary only for lawful personal journaling. You must not:

• Use the app to store or share illegal content
• Record others without their knowledge or consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or tamper with the app or its servers
• Use the app in any way that violates the rights of others
• Create accounts for automated or non-personal use

7. Your Content

Your journal entries belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over what you write, record, or store in Talk2Diary.

You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Export Data. You can delete entries or your entire account whenever you choose. Deletion of individual entries is permanent and immediate — deleted entries cannot be recovered. Deletion of your account permanently removes all your data from our servers.

8. AI Features

Talk2Diary uses AI to transcribe your voice and detect your mood. Transcription is powered by Sarvam AI (Saaras speech-to-text model). Mood analysis is powered by OpenAI (GPT-4o mini). In both cases, your content is sent without any personal identifiers.

AI transcription and mood detection may not always be perfectly accurate. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, or professional decisions. They are tools to help you journal — nothing more.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Talk2Diary available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.

10. Changes to the App

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If a change significantly affects how the app works, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated app.

11. Limitation of Liability

Talk2Diary is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appspace Innovations Pvt Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including loss of data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose.

12. Intellectual Property

The Talk2Diary name, logo, and app are owned by Appspace Innovations Pvt Ltd. You may not use our name or branding without written permission.

13. Changes to These Terms

If we make significant changes to these terms, we will notify you through the app. The effective date at the top of this page will always show when these terms were last updated. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
